Diagnosis

This is one of the smaller species in the genus, distinguished by the very narrow, dark crimson fasciation of the forewing.

Geographical Range

Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia.

Habitat Preference

This appears to be a rare lowland forest species, recent material consisting of two specimens from 600m at Poring, east of G. Kinabalu, and one from 170m at the Danum Valley Field Centre, all from Sabah. The original material was from Sarawak, probably also a lowland locality.
