Microphaea Hampson
Genus Details
Type species: nyctichroa Hampson, Panama.
Poole (1989) listed three Neotropical species in this genus, two of which were included in the original generic description. The facies of these is somewhat hypenine, with the forewing rather triangular. The placement of the one Bornean species with these was not justified by Hampson in his original description (see below). The genus should be reviewed when more material is available, but it is probable that orientalis Hampson is misplaced.
