Diagnosis
The forewings are pale grey, very finely striated with darker grey, more intensely basally and medially. The hindwings are pale grey with striae that are only very faint.
Geographical Range
Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi.
Habitat Preference
The only Bornean specimen seen was from mangrove in Brunei.
Taxonomic Notes
Further material of kalisi from Sulawesi in the BMNH indicates that the features of distinction noted by Roepke are unreliable, therefore it is placed as a synonym of euphyes.
Yakovlev (2004a) and Yakovlev & Witt (2009) have treated Zeuzera rhabdota Jordan as a good species rather than as a subspecies of caudata, whereas Schoorl (1990) followed the latter course, also including celebensis Roepke as a synonym.
