Taxonomic notes
Sundanian material has the postmedial arc of pale yellow patches of the forewing much weaker than in the typical race or absent; the male genitalia are relatively larger, the saccus longer, and the valve with a subbasal scobinate fold. The name simplicior Butler (= media Prout) is applicable to this Sundanian subspecies, and is based on Bornean material. A specimen from Mindanao (Philippines) resembles the typical race.
