Diagnosis

The typical forewing pattern of the genus is modified to give a broad black border, the interior boundary rounded, parallel to the margin and edge paler brownish grey, a colour which also clouds the basal part of the mainly creamy white basal two-thirds.

Geographical range

Andamans, Indian Subregion, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi.

Habitat preference

Only four Bornean specimens have been seen, two from the lowlands of Sabah: Telupid and the Danum Valley, areas of lowland forest with some secondary forest. The other two are from lowland dipterocarp forest at Barito Ulu, Kalimantan.
