Diagnosis

The rounded margins of the forewing and weak fasciation particularly of the hindwing are diagnostic for both sexes.

The tegumen of the male genitalia has a pair of simple, acute processes.

Taxonomic Notes

Specimens of the previous two species were confused with this by Holloway (1976); the female illustrated was of pallida montana.

Geographical range

Borneo (Kinabalu only).

Habitat preference

Specimens have been taken from 1500-2100m; the species is relatively common on the mountain.
