Diagnosis
The bifalcate forewings, their dark dull green ground with large subtornal pale leprous patch are distinctive.
The hindwings are tailed, a similar dark green, with a broad central band of fawn colour, reticulated darker.
Geographical range
Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference
A rare species of montane forest, energes has been recorded from 1000m to 1930m on G. Kinabalu, from 1000m (four specimens) on G. Mulu and from 1618m on Bukit Retak.
Taxonomic Note
Han & Xue (2004) and Stüning & Yazaki (2008) have reviewed Timandromorpha Inoue, describing four new Oriental species: inouei Stüning & Yazaki (Thailand, Vietnam); olivaria Han & Xue (S.W. China: Yunnan); pinratanai Stüning & Yazaki (Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia); wangi Stüning & Yazaki (S.E. China, N. Vietnam).
