Diagnosis
The forewings are a paler buff-brown than in other members of the Orgyia complex, with an archipelago of darker brown patches basally and a faint crenulate postmedial with one or two dark brown patches distal to where it angles towards the costa subapically. Females are not known, possibly flightless with vestigial wings.
Taxonomic notes
No major differences could be located between Moluccan and Sundanian material, hence duo is brought into synonymy with diplosticta. The male genitalia have the ring-like sclerotisation surrounding the anal tube that typifies Telochurus, and also the valves lack a dorsal arm.
Geographical range
S. Moluccas, Sulawesi, Borneo, Sumatra.
Habitat preference
This is a montane species, recorded at 1200m and 1620m on G. Kinabalu, and at 1465m on Bukit Retak and 1670m on Bukit Pagon in Brunei.
