Diagnosis
The forewings are narrow, dark brown, with a variable white zone along the dorsum: complete; restricted to a basal semicircle; or a basal arc.
The hindwings are also dark but the abdomen is fawn, extending well beyond the hindwings in spread male specimens.
Geographical range
N.W. India, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi, New Guinea.
Habitat preference
The species is common from the lowlands to about 1800m.
Biology
Yunus & Ho (1980) noted Coffea (Rubiaceae) as a larval host-plant.
