Diagnosis
The forewings are bifalcate as in affinis Warren, but the colour is dark, dull greyish brown, with the fasciae characteristic of the genus rather obscure.
The hindwings of the male have the tornus diagnostically produced, whereas in the female they have an obtuse central angle.
Taxonomic Notes
The two species-group names were based on different sexes; trigonoptera on males and placida on females.
Geographical range
Burma, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.
Habitat preference
During the Mulu survey the species was taken infrequently in lowland forest, particularly heath forest.
