Stictosia crocea Holloway sp. n.

♂♂ 7-8mm. This is the largest of the three species, with a deeper orange colour to the more variegated forewings that are also more speckled with black scales; the characteristic facies elements are present, however. The hindwings are pale yellow, and a fringe of long scales of the same colour extends over them from the dorsal edges of the forewings. The genitalia have the tegumen/vinculum/saccus proportions as inflexilisana, but are distinguished by a prominent falcate angle to the ventral margin of the sacculus, and a broad base and strong curvature to the cornutus of the aedeagus.

Borneo.

Habitat preference

Both specimens are from the lowlands, from swamp forest and dipterocarp forest on limestone.
