Diagnosis
The species is dark brown with ligneous patterning on the forewing. The zone basal to the reniform is often conspicuously darkened, almost black. If this black zone is absent, there is usually a basal, longitudinal black streak just in from the dorsum. The forewings are deeper than in Sasunaga species.
Taxonomic note
The name calida is revived from synonymy with subcurva.

Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.
Habitat preference
The species is frequent in forested areas from the lowlands to 2000m.
