Diagnosis

See the generic description and the distinction of the new species below. The male antennae are fasciculate in both.

Taxonomic note

The male genitalia (see the generic acount) show some variation in the width of the valves and the development of the subapical spur through the range of the species.

Geographical range

New Guinea, Seram, Sulawesi, Borneo.

Habitat preference

Several specimens were taken at around 150m in hill dipterocarp forest at the foot of G. Mulu and one at 1200m in montane scrub on the limestone G. Api during the Mulu survey. Singletons have been recorded from about 600m at Poring on G. Kinabalu and at about 2000m on G. Murud (identified by Prout (1928) as discisigna).
