There is a second species in Sumatra and Peninsular Malaysia, slightly larger with a more broken translucent area on the forewing.
In the valves of the male genitalia of this second species the costal spine is relatively shorter, the more distal lobe of the sacculus process narrower, apically rounded rather than with a distally directed acute spine.
