Diagnosis
See the previous species. This and P. malaysiana Holloway can only reliably be distinguished on genitalic characters. The males have a slender aedeagus and narrow vesica, the latter containing two fields of cornuti, the more distal consisting of long, slender spines that are almost twice as long in argentilauta, and the more basal is a mass of spicules that are more prominent and covering twice the area in malaysiana. The females share, in the bursa, an irregular basal field of scobination, more dense in malaysiana, and a pair of crescent-shaped scobinate fields just distal to it, and in a generally more distal position in argentilauta.
Geographical Range
Buru, Sulawesi, Borneo, Sumatra.
Habitat Preference
The infrequent records have been from lowland and lower montane forest types.
