Diagnosis
The reddish brown, rather ligneous pattern to the forewing, with a prominent pale dull yellow reniform, is distinctive.
Geographical range
N.E. Himalaya, Thailand, Sundaland, Sulawesi.
Habitat preference
Only three Bornean specimens have been located, all from lowland localities in Sarawak.
Biology
Gardner (1948a) described the larva.
The head, thorax and spiracular line are bright yellow, the dorsal surface white with four dark transverse lines on each segment, and the ventral surface colourless.
The larva turns deep blue prior to pupation.
The recorded host-plant is Spondias (Anacardiaceae).
