Phaeothripa morena Swinhoe

Diagnosis

The forewings are a dark purple-grey, narrow and rather elliptical. There is a punctate postmedial, strongly angled as in L. scotia, and paler grey shading following a similar course that is only conspicuous at the centre of the dorsum.

Geographical range

Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia, Java.

Habitat preference

This is a rare lowland species, but one specimen was taken at 900m on the limestone G. Api during the Mulu survey.
