Diagnosis

This species is a little larger than the next but easily confused with it. The forewing is more fawn and is more even in tone, rather than being darker over the costal third; there is a generally more prominent submarginal row of dark flecks. The hindwing of testacea is immaculate on the underside but Hunyada species usually have a curved postmedial row of small black dots.

Geographical range

N.E. Himalaya; Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.

Habitat preference

Bornean specimens number only three, all from Sabah, two from G. Kinabalu or its vicinity. None have habitat data but the species is probably of the lowlands.
