Diagnosis
The insect is a uniform rich chestnut brown with no obvious markings.
The narrow, apically produced forewings and falcate, tornally produced hindwings are distinctive.
Taxonomic Notes
The externally similar Gastropacha minima Lajonqui�re is known from Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore.
This has less excavate hindwings on which there is a small white reticulated patch.
Geographical range
Borneo.
Habitat preference
Only the holotype male is known, taken at 2600m on G. Kinabalu.
