Geographical range
Sulawesi and Sumbawa east to Bismarck Is. and Queensland; Indian Subregion to Taiwan and Sundaland (ssp. angustimargo). Material from Java and Bali may belong to the typical race, with broader forewing borders.
Habitat preference
Most records are from lowland localities, including disturbed forest and cultivated areas, but one specimen has been taken at 1930m on G. Kinabalu.

Kuroko & Lewvanich (1993) illustrated an adult of this species as dulcissima, but did not illustrate the larva.
The host-plant was Durio (Bombacaceae), the larva feeding on foliage.
Genitalia:
