Diagnosis

This is a variegated greyish brown species with a white ground colour that is most prominent in the almost linear submarginals to both wings.

O. penumbrata* Warren comb. n., from the Himalaya, is similar, but has the forewing postmedial and submarginal broadly darkened at the costa.

Geographical Range

Indian Region, W. China, Taiwan, Japan, Borneo, Java.

Habitat Preference

Three specimens have been taken on G. Kinabalu, one at 1200m and two at 1500m.
