Diagnosis
The forewing facies is unmistakable, particularly the rather dull earthy red colour, the fine white postmedial that is sharply angled subcostally, the similar but straight antemedial, the small white orbicular dot and, in some specimens, black patches just distal to the centre of the postmedial.
Geographical range
Indian Subregion, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi, Seram, New Guinea.
Habitat preference
Records are infrequent but range from the lowlands to 2600m in forested localities.
