Nycteola mesoplaga Hampson
Sarrothripa mesoplaga Hampson, 1905, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (7), 16: 584.
Diagnosis
This species and the next (previously placed in Symitha) have a rather similar forewing pattern with a dark subbasal bar and central triangle on the costa amid otherwise irregularly transverse dark grey fasciation on a pale grey ground.
The subbasal bar in mesoplaga is well basal to the antemedial, which is transverse, rather than longer and more oblique around the antemedial.
Also, mesoplaga is much larger, and has grey shading between the fasciae broadly along the dorsum.
