Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra.

Habitat preference

Lowland to lower montane.

Taxonomic Note

Holloway (1990: 54) distinguished between two very similar species in Nirmides, basalis Walker and manwahi Holloway, the presence of the latter having been undetected in 1986.
