Nadagara intractata Walker

Nadagara intractata Walker, 1862, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus., 24: 1047.

Diagnosis

The fasciae on both wings are irregularly crenulate, the costal end of the hindwing fasciae being interior to the dorsal end of the forewing postmedial, more so than in scitilineata, the only other species with this feature.

N. scitilineata* also has crenulate fasciae but that on the hindwing is only weakly so, and the fasciae on both wings are more distinctly paler-edged. Both species have a long aedeagus vesica with a single terminal cornutus, but the furca with cristae is short, splayed broadly apically in intractata, and long, slender, tapering in scitilineata.

Geographical Range

Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi.
