Diagnosis
The forewings tend to have a purplish tinge.
The valve has the spatulate apex dorsally falcate, with fine and coarse setae distributed as in lichenigera, but relatively more of the coarser ones.
Those on the sacculus are much finer and less dense than in lichenigera. The aedeagus vesica has a cluster of granular cornuti, but these are larger than in lichenigera. The female genitalia are characterised by an elongate, ellipitcal patch of slightly scobinate sclerotisation where the ductus expands gradually into the narrow corpus bursae.
Taxonomic Notes
This species should be attributed to Gaede rather than Fletcher according to Nielsen et al. (1996;).
Geographical range
Singapore, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, ?New Guinea (slide 811; Arfak Mts).
Habitat preference
A single male has been taken in hill dipterocarp forest at 945m on G. Monkobo in Sabah.
