Diagnosis
The deepened forewings and reduced squarish highly modified hindwings distinguish the male. The female has similar forewing fasciation, characteristically bold, somewhat sinuous, recurring postmedially outwards on the hindwing.
Geographical Range
Borneo, Lombok, Sulawesi, Burma, N.E. Himalaya.
Habitat Preference
The species is rare but found over a wide range of altitude: in alluvial and hill dipterocarp forest in the lowlands during the Mulu survey; at 1200m and 1930m on G. Kinabalu.
