Diagnosis

This is the largest Bornean lithosiine, the grey colour relieved by an orange collar and a broad white zone to the hindwing being diagnostic.

Taxonomic notes

Cerný & Pinratana (2009) listed Macrobrochis borneensis Roepke as a synonymy of volzi Weymer (1909, Dt. ent. Z. Iris 22: 25; Tripura volzi), described from Sumatra.

Sundaland, ?Philippines, Thailand.

Habitat preference

Lower montane.
