Noreia luciferata Walker, 1862, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus., 24: 1092.
Bapta inamata Walker sensu Holloway, 1976: 82.
Diagnosis

Taxonomic Notes
This species has been included in the synonymy of Linamata** Walker (Sri Lanka, India) as the two taxa are externally very similar. However, the male genitalia show significant differences, with the Javan taxon bucens Warren being more similar to luciferata. In inamata the valve has a distinctive ‘pinched up’ transverse ridge structure subapically, lacking in luciferata. The aedeagus vesica in inamata has two distal clumps of moderate cornuti and a long proximal band of cornuti only slightly smaller; in luciferata the more apical of the distal groups is larger, fused into a single compound cornutus, the basal one being absent (in lucens the position is intermediate between that of the two clumps of inamata and the cornutus is multiple), and the proximal band is broader, with the cornuti very much smaller except for a short basal section (in lucens the band extends across the vesica to the distal cornutus). The eighth sternite is broadly bilobed in inamata, a single rounded lobe in lucens and acutely triangular in luciferata.
