Diagnosis

The forewings are dark brown somewhat as in Triorbis annulata but more narrow and elliptical in shape. There is a strongly angled but also slightly curved double postmedial, the angle crossed by a longitudinal dark streak at about one-third from the costa.

Geographical range

N.E. Himalaya, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.

Habitat preference

The species is rare but recorded over a wide range of altitude. The four specimens taken in recent surveys were from 300m (G. Santubong) and 1000m (G. Mulu) in Sarawak, 1050m (Kundasan on G. Kinabalu) in Sabah and 1618m (Bukit Retak) in Brunei.
