Diagnosis
The forewings are dark grey suffused with deep bright green marginally, especially along the costa and basal to the oblique, dark subbasal; between the subbasal and antemedial is an almost black zone; the reniform is pale green; the submarginal is double, sinuous, black, somewhat irregular and dentate.
The hindwing is dark grey with a white zone basally and costally.
Taxonomic Notes
Specimens from Peninsular Malaysia are much paler, the green of a more fawnish tone, and the dark fasciation less intense.
Geographical range
Borneo, Sumatra; Peninsular Malaysia.
Habitat preference
The type of obliquata was taken by Wallace in Sarawak, that of bryochlora at Kariorang in S.E. Kalimantan.
A third specimen was taken in lowland rainforest at 75m, Labi, Brunei.
