Hypertrocta posticalis Walker

Diagnosis
The general wing shape is as in Prolophota species, but the colouring is more a purplish brown-grey. The postmedial of the forewing is sharply angled subcostally, with darker colour basad, and a triangular paler zone distad between it, the submarginal and the costa. The hindwing postmedial is similarly straight and also with a darker zone on its basal side.
Geographical range
Sri Lanka, India, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.
Habitat preference
The only specimen in recent surveys was taken in the understorey of primary forest at 170m near the Danum Valley Field Centre in Sabah. There is also an older specimen just labelled ‘Sarawak’.
