Hunyada spinosa Holloway sp. n.
♂♂ 25 - 28 mm.
The facies is as illustrated, very similar to that of H. hunyada Swinhoe (Java, ?Sumatra), H. marconia Schaus (Luzon) and H. venosa Kiriakoff (Malaya). All these species have genitalia of very similar pattern and may have variable brown markings on the forewings, though there is insufficient material to confirm this. The male genitalia of the other species differ slightly from each other in the shape of the valve processes and of the uncus, but only spinosa has the subbasal lobe with prominent setae on the dorsal arm of the valve.
