Diagnosis and taxonomic note
The general colour is blackish brown, the forewings slightly translucent apart from the veins which stand out darker. Orange colour is restricted to the patches on the head, thorax and abdomen, whereas in the type species (Plate 1) this colour is paler and extends broadly over the forewing except for the darkened veins and fringes. The modified hindwing is similarly linear. The species is illustrated in colour in the original description and its genitalia are shown in half-tone.
Geographical range
Borneo.
Habitat preference
The species is only known from the holotype male, taken at 1200m on the south-west slope of G. Trus Madi in Sabah.
