Hiaspis closteroides Walker
Hiaspis closteroides Walker, [1866] 1865, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus., 34: 1189.
Diagnosis
The long, narrow, grey forewings are slightly falcate apically, the apex cut off by a black, oblique line from the centre of the costa to the distal margin subdorsally. The reniform consists of two black dots set distinctly obliquely. See also the next species.

Habitat preference
Six specimens taken in recent surveys are from lowland forest up to 300m. In addition, eight individuals were recorded (S.J. Willott, unpublished data) in samples from the canopy of unlogged lowland forest at about 170m in the vicinity of the Danum Valley Field Centre in Sabah, but none in samples from the understorey; one was recorded in logged forest.
