Diagnosis

Both sexes resemble females of propitia but have the margin of the darker shading on the distal side of the hindwing fascia roughly bidentate rather than jaggedly irregular. The black fasciation on the underside is much more emphatic, regular and straighter than in female propitia.

Geographical range

N.E. Himalaya, Thailand (VK), Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.

Habitat preference

Some confusion with females of propitiawas probable during field counts during the Mulu survey, but the species appears to be rare in forests from the lowlands to around 1790m.
