Diagnosis
This species is, with vandeldeni, larger than all other Bornean species. Most of the forewing is brown, divided from a striate, bone grey apical zone by a sharp, slightly concave margin. There is a dark brown streak medially, subdorsally.
Geographical Range
Sundaland.
Habitat Preference
Most recent specimens have been taken at about 1000-1700m in the montane forest zone, e.g. on Bukit Retak (Brunei) and G. Kinabalu, but older specimens appear to have been caught in the lowlands, as do those in other parts of the range (Roepke 1957).
