Gastropacha acutifolia Roepke

Taxonomic Notes

G. acutifolia was placed as a subspecies of sikkima Moore by Holloway & Bender (1990: 174), but the two taxa are in fact sympatric in Thailand (Zolotuhin & Pinratana, 2005: 104) in at least one locality and are therefore distinct. It differs from sikkima in its deeper red ground colour and in ornamentation of the aedeagus vesica (Zolotuhin & Pinratana, 2005).
