Diagnosis
The oblique dark shading to the forewing distinguishes this species from plana Walker.
In the male genitalia the apical spur to the sacculus is never elbowed; the gnathus is weakly trilobed.
Geographical range
Himalaya to western China and Sundaland.
Habitat preference
The species has been taken infrequently in lowland and lower montane forest; the three specimens taken during the Mulu survey were from 250m and 900m on the limestone of G. Api.
