Diagnosis

Like its congener, this species is unmistakable.

Taxonomic Note

Schintlmeister (1994b) omitted Borneo from the range of G. vardena without explanation, though this must have been a lapsus, as it is clear (S & P) that the type locality is Borneo.

India, Sundaland.

Habitat preference.

Infrequent in lowland dipterocarp forest.
