Forcipivalva melanostalus Rothschild comb. n.
Bocana melanostalus Rothschild, 1920, J. fed. Malay St. Mus., 8: 122.
Diagnosis
This species is on average very slightly larger than amphusalis but similar in facies as discussed under amphusalis. The main distinction between amphusalis and melanostalus is in the male genitalia: in melanostalus the uncus is more bulbous, shorter; the valves are narrow, with a single central downward flexure (rather than sinuous); there is no process from the apex of the sacculus; the saccus is longer than in amphusalis; the vesica is very much larger, and the two spine-bearing lobes are much more distant from each other.
