Diagnosis
The forewing facies is distinctive, a pinkish medium grey crossed by a series of four black, slightly oblique fasciae, the submarginal much finer and weaker than the other three.
Geographical range
Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference
The species is rare and has been recorded from both lowland forest (Semongok near Kuching in Sarawak; the Ulu Temburong of Brunei; the Barito Ulu of central Kalimantan) and montane forest (1775m on Bukit Monkobo in Sabah; 1780m on G. Mulu).
Biology
Robinson et al. (2001) noted the larva as feeding on Orchidaceae.
