Diagnosis and taxonomic note

Only females are known.

The species is predominantly satiny white, the forewings with brown to black fringes at least over the anterior half of the distal margin, and dots of similar colour on the distal half of the wing.

Much of the head and part of the legs are medium brown.

The genitalia have the ductus broad as in *trimacula,*but the ostium is not flanked by rugosities, the bursa is more spherical and has irregular bands of spines basally rather than a more compact fan.

Geographical range

Borneo.

Habitat preference

Three older specimens seen consist of the holotype collected from Sarawak by A.R. Wallace, one from Kuching, and one collected by Doherty in S.E. Borneo.

The species has been taken twice in recent surveys: at about 600m in disturbed primary forest at Poring, Sabah; in secondary vegetation at 3m near Anduki in Brunei.
