Diagnosis

The facies is very similar to that of pertendens, but the blackish brown markings are generally more extensive and pronounced. However, the only reliable means of distinguishing the species is on genitalia characters. In the male, the angle on the ventral margin of the valve is shallower but more acute. The apical part of the valve in pertendens is angled outwards, with a concave inner margin and the apex almost acute, whereas in korintjiensis it is flexed more gently outwards from a more basal position to a slightly spatulate, rounded apex. The broader, basal part of the aedeagus vesica is rather angular in korintjiensis but more irregular in pertendens.
