Epipristis truncataria Walker

Acidalia truncataria Walker, 1861, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus., 23: 774.

Diagnosis

This and Epipristis nelearia Guenée are a similar pale dull green with greyish clouding in the marginal third of the wing. E. truncataria is a much smaller species with a diagnostic antemedial fascia at the base of the hindwing.

Geographical range

Borneo, Sumatra, Singapore (H.N. Ridley material).

Habitat preference

The two specimens taken during recent surveys were both from secondary scrub at Lamunin, Brunei.

Older material seen is also from lowland localities.
