Egnasides rudmuna Swinhoe
Egnasia rudmuna Swinhoe, 1905, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (7), 16: 623.
Diagnosis
The moth resembles a smaller, paler, greyer version of V. minereusalis. However, the male antennae are strongly bipectinate, and the forewing postmedial, not always conspicuous, is angled round the reniform rather than passing in straight but irregular line distal to it.
Geographical range
Borneo.
Habitat preference
The original material is from G. Kinabalu but without altitude data. Recent records are of four specimens from lowland forest during the Mulu survey: alluvial forest at 50-70m; dipterocarp forest at 150m; and forest on limestone at 250m.
