♂♂ 15-16mm This is a smaller species than amianta, but otherwise very similar in fades. The forewings are perhaps relatively broader, with a slightly darker brown spot at the end of the posterior arm of the discal chevron. The margins of both wings are slightly more darkly punctate in the spaces. These features tend to disappear in worn specimens, but the male genitalia are distinctive. They resemble those of alba Moore (= ippoline Schintlmeister as determined from the genitalia illustration and description,syn. n.), but have a much longer uncus andshorter, more equal valve processes. The eighth sternite is weakly bilobed rather than biangular.

Geographical range

Borneo, Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia.

Habitat preference

This is a rarer species than amianta and has only been taken in lowland forest.
