Dindica olivacea Inoue
Dindica olivacea Inoue, 1990: 126.
Diagnosis
See Dindica polyphaenaria Guenée.
Taxonomic Notes
This species is very closely related to D.sundae Prout (Java, Bali) and may be merely a race of it differing in minor features of the male genitalia.
The spining on the apex of the valve costa and on the two processes of the saccular portion is rather variable, even between the two valves of the same specimen. D. discordia Inoue (Luzon, Palawan, Sumatra) is found on either side of Borneo and may well prove to occur there.
The spining at the apex of the costa is more irregular, close together, less markedly bidentate, and the ventral process of the saccular part has a shorter, stouter distal spine and no lateral ones.
Geographical range
N.E. Himalaya, S.E. Asia, Borneo, Sumatra, Philippines.
Habitat preference
The species is rare, all recent records being from lowland forest types, including heath and secondary forest types, in Brunei.
