Diagnosis
The wings are a blackish brown, the forewings with obscure paler fasciae similar to those of Characoma. The tornal tuft of the male hindwing is conspicuous and darker, and that wing in both sexes is generally paler than the forewing.
Geographical range
N.E. Himalaya, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi.
Habitat preference
Bornean material is restricted to single specimens from 900m and 1500m in montane forest and scrub on the limestone G. Api, taken during the Mulu survey.
