Taxonomic Notes

The male genitalia of the slightly darker, redder subrubra are not distinguishable from those of Sundanian material.

Geographical range

Borneo, Sumatra, Sulawesi; New Guinea, Bismarcks (ssp. subrubra).

Habitat preference

All recent records are from dipterocarp forest, including alluvial forest, up to 300m.
